Lightening Strikes Twice

Lightening Strikes Twice
Almost two years ago my wife backs out of the garage and turned into the side of the daughter-in-laws car, which was parked were guests park when they visit.
She has just backed out of the garage and tuned into the side of the daughter-in-laws car, causing almost identical damage as before. They had even been talking to each other in the house before she did it. Judging by the last time another $2500 in repair bills, or increased insurance premiums for life.

"My wife drives like lightning."
"What, you mean she drives really fast?"
"No - she keeps striking things!"

And the problem is?
I have had 4 accidents since learning to drive. All of which have involved me and a parked car. I feel quite lucky in a sense

Luckily I only hit the mailbox which we handily put directly opposite the driveway, perfect spot. Each time I back out in a new (to me) car I give it a bump. I'm getting good at straightening it back up. Our insurance will never know and the mailbox doesn't care.

I had a similar situation at one of my homes where the next door neighbor backed into my ex-wifes parents car which was parked directly across the street from my home. My neighbors driveway was only about 10' to the left of my place but was a perfect angle to hit the car if he wasn't paying attention.
After that, I almost hit my g/f car several times until I told her to park her car about 10' further down the road where no one could hit it pulling out of their driveway.

The lady across the street has backed out of her driveway and hit a parked car across the street twice in six months(not mine).

Are the parking spots on the other side of the street from your driveway and your wife is going to go to the left? If that is the case, that is usually a problem when only guests park there since your wife probably backs out of the driveway and assumes no one is in those spaces and backs out into part of those spaces.

Stories like this are why I never learned to drive. Too many idiots on the road.
