He does like cars, but man, he has no personality in real life. He's done a few TG things now, including some BBCA stuff, but he's just so monotone! At least if he was Joey in real life, he'd be entertaining to watch.

For me Top gear was gone long before Clarkson and Co. left. It was gone when they went down the road of overly contrived comedic skits. I liked the TG of the 90s .

Hahaha, 50 thousand pounds... The same car with a different badge, with a roof is 22 thousand. Its called marketing. Take vw, the floorpan for the current vw golf is also used for 12 other vehicles, the total price range involved is about 13 to 45 thousand, everything is from the same kit of parts. If you want a 4x4 turbo petrol, you can have one with 4cdifferent badges/makes and a price range of 26 to 45 thousand. The same 2 litre diesel engine is available thanks to electronics alone, same hardware, with 120 140 170 200 and now 240 horsepower, Its madness, profitable, but madness.

Which post are you referring to? I don't think you can buy an Evoque for £22,000 - a quick check on Autotrader.co.uk shows that, with the exception of three pre-registered vehicles in the £28,000-£30,000 range, new Evoques start at £35,000.

The evoke is a platform vehicle, the current freelander is the same thing with different decor, not designed - if you believe it - by mrs beckham, and there is also a new defender on the same platform. The new freelander is from 25k retail, so realistically 22.5-23, the defender will be less.
