I might have done, but if I did it made no impression on me. It's the sort of pseudo literature that made school English classes painful. Now I feel really old

When my son was 8 and in school in the UK they did a "dress in a character from your favourite book" day. Stig of the Dump was his favourite book so we dressed him up as Stig. It seems a lifetime ago now...wow

BTW, The Stig has appeared in the US and Aussie versions of TG as well as the UK one, but not as often or as prominently.

I think the most recent US TG was Stig-free. They seemed to have turned in into 100% challenges/ adventures, with no car tests, no audience, and no Stig. It was even crapper than it had been before.
