I've got a hangover
#1
And that's about the size of it. Just thought I'd share my misery. Last night was the first time I have ingested any alcohol in over a week. Then, Mrs Sod had a hankering for Chardonnay so off she trotted and discovered a great deal on three bottles of some not distasteful (considering the price) wine. As a very typical working class male I cannot have alcohol in the house without drinking the bleedin lot in one night. So, down it went and went down a treat it did.
Anyway, now I have a hangover and lots to do and no intention of doing any of it. Mrs Sod seems quite perky strangely enough, perhaps because she stopped as we got to the half way point of the second bottle. Has anybody else got or ever had a hangover and how did they get it?
PS - piss off the lot of you, I'm in no mood.

Hangovers are caused by a lack of tolerance to alcohol. Drink more - suffer less.

2 pieces of dry toast and a large glass of water before bed.
cant remember who taught me this but it works wonders for not waking up with a hangover.
however it has 2 flaws:
1) you have to work a toaster. so if you are royally pissed.. you may burn the house down
2) you may piss the bed
still worth it tho.

I'm starting to feel better. Little by little. I have just been and got some pork chops for the grill tonight so that has cheered me up a bit. Mrs Sod tried rubbing some curry powder into them last time and it was yumaliscious. Cant wait to get to bed though, I must be getting old

I read somehwere years ago, it may have been george orwell, not certain, that that is how you can always tell a working class family. Like I said booze dont stick around long in a working class household. How many times have you seen a working class person come home from work and have one whiskey and water. Or one glass of wine with dinner? Drink is for drinking IMO lol. Still, I wish I hadn't
