Hello there! My dad moved here from Bristol in the 1960s to work as an engineer. I'm curious if anyone else is from Bristol or thereabouts in the Bay Area because he's currently really down. He's a very social introvert whose friend group is dwindling due to old age (he's 76, but he's the youngest in his friend group by at least 10 years).
Are there any groups or individuals of similar age and/or background he could meet close by?

Just spotted your message. Yes, I was born and raised in Bristol when your father lived there. I am a bit younger at 62 but closing on him fast! I would be happy to connect if your father would like a point of contact with someone who remembers when the local buses were green. You say your father was an engineer. Just taking a guess here, but if your father was connected to the aircraft industry my father worked in Filton at the Bristol Aircraft Company then after 1960 BAC. I have many memories of Bristol from the 1960's era when I grew up in Horfield. Your father will recognize the names. Anyway I am located in the East Bay, not too far away from him.
