I actually DO have the US flag outside the house, when the parents visited I put the English flag up, and will again when I feel the need to.

Theres a very small hotel near the golf course here, they fly the flag of whoever is staying, (I think they have about 4 rooms) So far I've seen quite a few flags from Europe flying over the years.
