Rain? I have a vague recollection of rain in the past.

When I lived in LA, I would run outside and stand in the rain, on the odd occasion it produced a few drops in between March and November. People would look at me as if I was insane.

In Eureka, you probably wait for the heat wave and then you warm to a comfortable level. From my memories when my kids were living in Eureka and I visited, I don't remember a significant difference in temperature between the summer and winter (always cool or cold). The only difference I remember is that it rains a lot in the winter.

The weather man on the local cable TV news channel reported today that there has been rain in the area on 35 of the past 51 days, or roughly two out of every three days for almost two months!

Spending the weekend at my parents house, upon arriving, and already being the darkest member of the family, I was told I look about two shades darker - all from spending most of yesterday at a park.

I used to live just by Oakland's Chinatown. Would live in the O again, preferably by Lake Merritt.

We've got the drought signs up again....voluntary at this stage.

Can't be too bad yet - at least we managed to avoid setting fire to our own lawn with the 4th Fireworks, which we did a couple of New Years ago........fortunately the fireman among the guest stomped it out with his feet, before he realized he'd taken his shoes off. Sterling chap, but not the sharpest knife in the drawer......

You left too soon; we're now in a "heat wave" with much of the country in the low 80's. Apparently it'll be summer for the next 10 days.

weather can be freaky, I lived in Dubai a long time ago and we had grapefruit sized hail that made a mess of a lot of cars.

Took my (2nd) driving test in June in Swindon (again, a long time ago) I'd only been there a week - browed a hill and headed down to the "Magic Round About". Looked in horror but was quickly overcome by the fact that it had stated to snow.
