I cleared a lot of the leaves off the lawns, front and rear, today. If it stays dry I can get the rest next week, and then probably squeeze in a final mow for the year. Most years I haven't mowed after October, and usually only once in October. This year it has stayed mild, and rained a lot!

Thought about it, but don't want the maintenance or ongoing costs. Mrs Username wants an outdoors pool. I don't think that's a great idea for the same reasons.

I guess I'll have to do this eventually, but would need to put dpwn some turf or something, which means watering when we are in drought.

Can you get free wood chips from your town recycling station? If you dug it up you could cover the area with wood chips or use them to fill in around pots (we find nice ones for a song at yard sales) or raised beds for flowers or herbs and veg.

Half the garden actually is wood chips right now, and FIL who loves on the other side hates them. I'm ambivalent.

And then tell your insurance company about it so they can increase your premium. Insurance companies do not like trampolines, and routinely exclude liability for injuries caused by trampolines. ...... I am also inclined to think that placing a trampoline on a concrete slab is an especially bad idea.

Insurance companies charge a bit extra but then they also charge extra for swimming pools, hot-tubs (we have all 3!!) and probably just because you're breathing.....

Trampolines have nets around them and having them on a concrete slab will mean they aren't wobbly at all, so not sure what your problem is with that one.

BTW It's taken me a while but now I really like the hot-tub. It's not much bother either. I've just put a "tarp" over ours since the leaves are falling, but I just test the water every day and add acid to lower pH or household bleach to keep chlorine levels optimum

My point was only to be sure to tell them, otherwise you probably aren't covered at all, with the issue being when a visitor gets injured and you aren't covered for liability.
