I picked that up on the guy Steve McMananananahan or whatever his name is during the England/Germany match this weekend. DH scoffed and said, that was easy, and I said maybe for those of us who remembered the Beatles in the old days, but now, not so much.

Swede I have HUGE issues with Swede, not enough that its called Rutabaga or whatever, when you get to the till they have no idea what it is, and of course I cant remember rutabaga, so we go through root vegetable, like a turnip, no not a carrot OBVIOUSLY God I hate swede shopping!
Today I tried to buy apricots at Walmart.
The checkout girl said "What are these??"
"Apricots"
"Never seen these before... are they a vegetable???!!"

But... she did actually look as if she's never had a piece of fresh fruit in her life!!

I've only been here three and a bit weeks and I've started drinking already...... Does that mean I have automatic club membership? I can play a mean blues guitar if you're a real drummer by the way..... only if beer's included though..........

One difference I've noticed is that in Britian if politicians don't like another country they are polite and say so in parliament in a constructive manner (unless it is Germany or France, and then everyone is just rude and bizarre).
However the US just bombs it to **** and back.
Is it just me who has noticed this?

Odd you should mention the Blues. I was just listening to some tracks Chris Layton laid down with Pinetop Perkins.
