I guess, but as we've mentioned many times, it can depend on where in the US you are, or are from. I've noticed differences on pronunciations in the UK too.

Very true. I recently discovered that I have an appreciation for a Liverpool accent. Who knew?

I picked that up on the guy Steve McMananananahan or whatever his name is during the England/Germany match this weekend. DH scoffed and said, that was easy, and I said maybe for those of us who remembered the Beatles in the old days, but now, not so much.

That's who I was thoroughly enjoying listening to ... I did not pick up on where he was from. I thought he was perhaps Scottish. I'd better stop talking on this subject or I'm going to entertain/annoy many a Brit.

Sorry for taking it so off topic, OP.

Ah, I say it with two syllables as well. Another regional difference.

As well as the T sound its also the way we say the a in water. when the brits say it , it rhymes with daughter. The yanks say wadder like the a rhymes with 'what'.

so its really whadder as opposed to wauter.

One difference I've noticed is that in Britian if politicians don't like another country they are polite and say so in parliament in a constructive manner (unless it is Germany or France, and then everyone is just rude and bizarre).

However the US just bombs it to **** and back.

Is it just me who has noticed this?

Hello You! How are things going? Are you 'appreciating' the weather, or hibernating like me?

I've got some decent chops.

Odd you should mention the Blues. I was just listening to some tracks Chris Layton laid down with Pinetop Perkins.
