If I spent any more time on the internet, than I already do, I would declare this a Spiderman thread.

I love Halloween. I much prefer it to Christmas. Each to their own!

I think I should pat myself on the back for successfully derailing a gun thread!

Halloween seems the worst for the commercialism, store bought fancy dress, just seems against the spirit of fancy dress, and they are all such terrible quality, I know its only for one night wear, but they all look crap. I might not mind Halloween if it was not for a quarter of some stores being turned over to all the tacky crap decorations. And the bloody mountain of candy that has to be snook away from my kid when she is not looking.

I don't really think there is an obsession over all, but the NRA and it's supporters are very loud and visible, but I would not say the average person is obsessed.
Without amending the constitution, the government's at various levels are limited to what they can do without the courts overturning the government.
I also don't find most American's anymore into guns then an average Canadian, and while our NRA (forget their name) equivalent is not as loud, there is a gun debate up here as well, despite having more restrictive laws, although I have heard some states have tougher laws then Canada but I don't know for sure.
Canadian's just overall are less violent so less shootings.

Get a gun for Christmas.
Friend got his Elk Saturday. Suppose he could have used a Bow.

I might get one one day, for target shooting, but I'll probably wait until the kids are out of the house first. I'm not so interested in hunting, much too early a start for me

Apparently the Elk thought so. I was going to go out with them. Never expected them to finish so early.

I was surprised. I expected most would still be up high. Not sure where he got it. Leaves went early. That could have helped.
