Thats what I was referring to..the SA80 (A1)...The SA80 (A2) being the same gun reworked by H & K.

True. Added with straight forward field stripping, the SLR was robust and hard hitting. Range about 600m. Having no real vices, this weapon was used broadly across the globe.

Favoured by many. RIP.

Yup i know i got shouted at a lot when bits fell off on parade, i was damm glad to replace it with a sword it was a damm shame i could not take it to the battle field with me.

You know you can still get hold of semi-auto versions in the US.. built by DSA
