Trolls do have some entertainment value...that's why we keep them around for a while. If there are some that are becoming particularly obnoxious...please PM me. I certainly don't want long standing members jumping ship because we have a few annoying rats on board.

If you were in another country it would just be a bunch of annoying americans, but because you are swamped & surrounded by them it becomes normal albeit a constant source of irritation. Globally they are not liked, quite often you will hear them described as "ugly", repugnant, arrogant etc...

But yeah, sometimes these types of threads do get out of hand, which is a shame, because there are enough of us who have gone through various stages of life in the US that we're a bubbling well of knowledge.
For example, I was tired of it here for quite a while, about 4-5 years ago and I was able to get out the other end.

I didn't really stop thinking the grass was greener until I'd been here 7 or 8 years and finally assimilated. Boiled down to finding good friends in all honesty. Also pulling my head out of my arse helped (disclaimer - not saying that everyone who can't settle in the US has their head up their arse... just me
)
