Ok, so apart from: Opera, philosophy, the reformation, dead composers, holding back the Romans, VW's-Mercedes-BMW's, increased sales of beach towels in Spain, acute business sense, being the first to use jet fighters, infro-red vision and ballistic rockets.

What have the Germans ever done for us?

Home of the invention of the car, great beer, outstanding bratwurst....yummmmm..., Oktoberfest (goes with bier), also the Autobahn (the US Interstate System is based on it), and Werner Von Braun (the rocket scientist responsible for helping the US get it's space program off the launching pad).

The car - powered by an internal combustion engine as made famous in the Tiger tank (VW - people's car - Porsche was a card carrying member of the Nazi party - nuff said)
Bratwurst/Oktoberfest - heard of the Munich Putsch?
Autobahn - built to move armies across Germany and to train people to dig trenches.
Von Braun - used London as a dartboard.
