I think I just was at the wrong end of my first anti-immigrant encounter.

There was I being all nice giving a presentation, when one guys decides to completely misinterpret what I was saying, as in, no word of what I said bore any relation to what he was going on about.

"What are you a Russian or a Jap?" (this had me a little confused, I have been assumed to be Russian before, but never Japanese)

"I am from England"

"So you come over from England, and insult America"

blah blah blah, he stands up and I thought he was going to have a go, he was an old geezer, it was a seniors center, but that was not going to look good to my boss, I go promoting our services and start a fight.

Anyway he leaves, and the others apologise for him. It was an interesting experience.

Old people who watch Fox news all day are an unfortunate and growing demograpic.

Depends on the topic you covered .... Sorry for your encounter, but without more info, it is just unknown.

Do you really think he went to an old fart's home and started ragging on America? Really? Seriously? FFS.

Something that doesn't look like the family's blind dog has commandeered the keyboard? Too much to ask?

Julian Clary?

Sorry mate, you need to read a few other forums where there are millions of anti-Obama, anti-liberal rants, posted by those of your political persuasions. And I'm sure that in your very black and white way of looking at the world, anyone who disagrees with you is some sort of commie loon wearing a Che Guevara shirt.

You have to understand that although us Brits are famous for enjoying a cup of tea, that doesn't mean we like teabaggers or TEA parties. In other words, I think you're in the wrong forum. Stormfront.org would be a better fit.

I would NEVER accuse a Brit of liking a Tea Party, :sneaky:
