Default Favourite Olympic Sport so far

I have been following NBC coverage so I am sure a different view would be had from say BBC.

Apart from the ladies Beach Volleyball the Cycling was good, and the Ladies Rugby interesting if somewhat one sided on occasions.

Ladies Beach Volleyball is nothing more than a sport for old pervs to watch!

I go to Venice beach regularly to watch it!!

I do have one small question, why do the ladies insist on wearing such small bikini bottoms??

Take it from 28-year-old Heather Bansley, who is heading to Rio as a member of Canada's women's volleyball contingent. "Our uniform is typically bikini bottoms and a sports bra," she says. "That's what's most practical and comfortable. It's so hot, you feel the sun beating down on you, you're sweating and covered in sand. Less clothing is more suitable to our sport."

If I were to watch the Olympics (which I don't), I would be watching the gymnastic and diving competitions.

Ledecky wins with a stupid lead. She could have been in the shower by the time second place finished.

I don't intend to watch any of it. But if I were to, it would be swimming, gymnastics and rowing. Some sports don't feel like they should be at the Olympics to me, like tennis, football and rugby.

Little League Baseball World Series Regional Finals. Kids playing for nothing more than trying to win and having fun, with great sportsmanship. Better than watching a load of drugged up professionals out for the money.

So far been enjoying the swimming and gymnastics.

Love watching the guys on the rings, awesome control and upper body strength, so disciplined.

Men's team gymnastics final starting at 3pm EST today.

Most irritating is that the US coverage only really shows the US olympians with very few others. With British (or probably most other countries' coverage) you would get a good cross-section of participants being shown. Yanks just don't care about anyone else. And are only really interested in sports in which they have a shot at winning.

So glad I get Canadian coverage of the Olympics. Not only did I see the opening ceremony live (delayed by 4 hours on the west coast) but I also get to see non-Americans competing.

Favorite "sport" so far, the wife trying to pronounce Uttoxeter.
