Mexican for me too. Except my wife can make it and all the ingredients are available in the UK so we'd be golden.
Actually we've joked about opening a Mexican restaurant in Belfast but I personally think it'd make a killing. Way better than Italian, for example, and I love Italian food

I think there is a Chipotle in London now. Charring Cross Road.
I miss American BBQ and decent Vietnamese food. I've also found a wider variety of Chinese food in the US as it seems much of the UK Chinese food is Cantonese (Hong Kong) style.

French Toast and half and half cream, drip coffee you pour yourself, costco chicken (better than the costco in the UK cooked chicken)

Re: Favourite American foods
I wouldn't worry - reviews aren't great, and prices are much higher! UK £6.40 for a basic burrito compared to US $6.35 (+tax), or over $10 UK equivalent!
Personally, Philly Cheese Steak. Both the wife and I love cinnamon so Cinnabon has seen our custom on numerous occasions. Proper Cajun food (not the UK interpretation) is also great.

Hmmm I'm still thinking. Where I'm from we had a few decent Mexican restaurants, I can get most of anything in the Uk that I like here, except perhaps good BBQ.

Re: Favourite American foods
I would miss New Mexican food a lot. It's just not quite the same anywhere else. A a good green chile stew...nothing better on a winter's day. Not to mention $4 chile relleno burritos the length of my arm, fantastic for a cheap lunch.
I've also grown accustomed to being able to buy grains, trail mix, pulses, and various baking ingredients from bulk bins in most supermarkets, don't know that you can really find that in the UK? Maybe in specialist shops like Holland and Barrett?

Most things fall under guilty pleasure of gross, yet awesome -
Chicken fried Steak or any fried chicken, leave the minging white gravy out of it though
Cornbread
Bloomin' Onion with horseradish sauce
Maine Lobster, roll/chowder/ice cream...anything really
Maine Shrimp...biggest pain in the arse to deal with, but the best thing ever
Maine maple syrup, the real deal, none of that fake crap
Maine wild blueberries, got to be wild, the other stuff is crap, wild are awesome
Popovers, best breakfast thing ever
Pay Day bars...those are fantastic and I could eat them all day till I puke
Home Fries, but only really from the local diner where we used to live, they were superb, best home fries ever
Proper Mexican food, just not burrito's, a rice sarnie roll is just gross...speaking off, Mission opened a branch in Oxford and so did someone else, so it's started a bit of a mini burrito war back home, which is hilarious
Ribs, sticky bbq and hot sauce rubs...so yummy and messy

Definitely Tex-Mex, Cajun, Chicken fried steak, Brisket, fried catfish and any type of shrimp you can imagine. The shrimp here are great and cheap! Moose tracks ice cream and Cold Stone Creamery. I love the food here but then there aren't many foods that I don't like!
