Meh.... I don't know how to send an invite!

Toon is the one who spends HOURS on facebook. There is both a general BE group, and a BE-USA group.

it seems you have to be a friend of the person already to be able to invite them to the group. Once they are your friend then go to the BE-USA (or whatever group) page and the invite option is one of the ones on the top right. It brings up a list of all your friends and you just click on the ones you want to invite, then press the invite button. Its helpful if you post their screen name at the same time in the wall posts if you know it as we still have several waifs and strays that we havnt tied to a boardname.

Good Luck with the visa...when do you "plan" to move to San Fran? I've never been there but I've heard it's great...you must be very excited:)

That was why I didn't join back then

Once you get past all the rubbish games, it's quite handy...best bit is being reminded when someone has a birthday.

But it's a good way of keeping up with friends and family, got loads of old school mates and uni mates on there and it's good to see at a glance where they are or anything fun they are up to as we're all pretty rubbish with keeping in contact at a regular basis.

The market section ain't to bad either, like craigslist, for finding/flogging stuff and jobs.

Also joining some of the groups are handy for networking.

I have a Facebook account and love the thing :)

A few of the folks on here are on my friends list ............ I mostly use it to keep in touch with my family back home (My eldest daughter would never talk to me otherwise) and to whip Ozidoc's ass at Scramble
