Ho effing ho!

BTW. He's been elected to the House, not the Senate.

Didn't take long for the electorate to forget/ignore. This hoo-ha by the Republicans over Benghazi will be long gone before Clinton aims for the presidency then.

Colourfully, certainly, and forcefully too, but surely it can't be "eloquent" with so many expletives?

For me eloquence implies a certain elegance of phrase, and there is nothing elegant about that letter.

I understand it to mean, "forceful and fluent expression...". I tie to that, my Mother's explanation of why I shouldn't use expletives. She said that when people curse, drop F-bombs at every other word, the words lose their force but if you "never" swear, people sit up and take notice when you actually do, so she told me to reserve them for the appropriate moment. I think that lady believed they were a necessary to express her anger in this matter.

I agree with your understanding of 'eloquent', but I find that this letter is indeed eloquent in its judicious use of unsavory language.

Compare it to the e-mail sent by the ex-Delta Gamma sorority girl at the University of Maryland to her sisters prior to an upcoming event.

Regards, JEff
