Re: Ever Lived On One?

Yes,we lived in one when Don first got out of the AF,and we moved back to Illinois,it was bloody awful!,but better than staying at his mother's house....come to think of it,a cardboard box would've been better than staying at his mother's!!!!!,his brother used to call it 'The Budweiser can'!...but he was late 20's and still living with his mummy!....
We bought it for $1100,kept it for 6 months (it was nice enough inside,it was the outside and the trailer park which was the worse!),used it as a downpayment on a better one and had it moved to a trailer park in Pontiac, the second was really nice, much bigger inside than it looked from the outside, three good size bedrooms, big living room,eat-in kitchen,we had it put on the outside edge of the trailer park so there was nothing but fields behind us,it was the nicest part of the trailer park, peaceful, clean and tidy and the neighbours were really nice,so were their mobile homes, but the entrance of the park was very rough looking, and so were the people who lived in that part!
We had intended to keep the trailer for 5 years then buy a house, but the interest rates dropped a lot after 2 years so we sold the trailer and bought our house....it worked out really well for us,we made $900 on the first crappy trailer, and broke even on the second,so they weren't that bad of an investment, better than renting something....if we had to do it again,we'd buy a plot of land in the countryside and put it there.
