Im wondering if they are any good? I have an old regular style Dyson upright and its a faff to take apart and use the hose attachments to do the stairs. I wondered if the handheld was any better?

I had one of the first Dyson cleaners when we lived in the UK...it was brilliant. In 1996 I couldn't buy anything close to it here.

I have tried several cordless cleaners and all fail miserably on power and battery life. I have just ordered a cordless Dyson from Costco...if I have any problems with it in the next 3 years I will get a refund. Can't beat Costco's refund policy. :thumbsup:

She'd stand when the national anthem came on TV at the end of the broadcast, despite her bad knees. I think she ironed sheets, underwear, and handkerchiefs! I used to love playing in her storage cabinet in the kitchen - she had cans and boxes of stuff to last a few lifetimes, based on living through two wars and a depression.

For sound quality, yes, it was better and as easy to use. Also about a third of the cost.

Where it fell down, it didn't have a easy to use music store to buy legit music but then again, most folks back then were using Napster and just drag and dropped tunes straight onto it, which you couldn't do on the iPods.

I've had several cordless cleaners and they have all been useless. The suction has been crap and the batteries don't charge too well after a few months. Ask me again in a year when I've had chance to try the battery life out...but the suction is excellent. :thumbsup: If it fails to please in the next few years...off it goes back to Costco for a refund.
