Day Trips from Mount Pleasant, SC area with inlaws
My in laws are coming to visit for 3 weeks at the end of June (Lord help me!)
I am trying to sort out some sort of itinerary of things to do whilst they are here.
We will probably do a carriage round downtown Charleston and see all the old homes there etc. We will also go to a lot of the local beaches too in the Mount Pleasant area.
I am also guessing we will go to Myrtle Beach at some point and I really want to go to Savannah.
Is there anywhere else people would recommend? I'll be doing it with my kids (aged 7 & 8 1/2), the husband and his parents (both aged late 60s)
Recommendations greatly appreciated!

SarahG, I would recommend Magnolia Gardens off Highway 61 - it's an old plantation and very beautiful. As well, there is Patriots Point and the USS Yorktown and Fort Sumter.
