I would maybe get an above ground in future, but an inground pool up here is really not worth it for the small amount of time we get to use them. Especially if you've got trees around. You know how the ground shifts so much in Winter, well I'm pretty sure we've got all sorts of cracked pipes under there :( and because we have to close them in Winter the mossies love to hatch in the still water in Spring...urgh If you had an above ground it's much easier to get to all that stuff. |

I close it for winter, nothing to buy, and open it for summer and the chemicals are not too expensive. We run the pump every day when open but i have no idea what it costs (big help i am:o) Juswus, you may find your not as popular if you fill that pool in, and how will it look when your in your bikini laying next to a pile of dirt ;) |

You should put some Mosquito Dunks in the standing water on the cover to keep the mosquitos from hatching. I used to get them for free from the town hall.
