The subject line of this thread has bothered me all day. <snicker>
At least he didn't describe it as a piece of piss. I'd have been wondering about the doctor's aim. |

Re: Colonoscopy - piece of cake!
Well, I had semi urgent gall bladder removal just after we were married. Some time later, during one of Cindy's trips over, I had extreme pain in that area - seems they left a liitle piece of flesh in the vicinity.
So I had the old 'tube into the stomach' - problem solved. Followed by the loudest. deepest belch known to man.... If I fart anything like that after next Tuesdays procedure, you will probably hear it anywhere south of the Appalachians - dependent on which point of the compass they point my arse. And it's also the first time I have ever been ordered to send 6 small pieces of shit through the post. :D |

Re: Colonoscopy - piece of cake!
I had one in the UK about six years ago.
The hospital posted out a package containing an enema, that I had to give myself. It sent my entire guts into overdive within about 10 minutes  The pain of my intestines attempting to completely empty themselves in the shortest time possible is probably the most painful experience that I'll ever have. However, it really did last about 10-15 minutes. I'd do it again, as I couldn't be doing with all the dieting-and-drinking-malarky. The procedure itself was done under sedation - they used it all up on me and couldn't/wouldn't give me anymore. The scope couldn't get past one of the flexures...probably the splenic flexure, as that's where the only pain was when I was having the procedure. Expelling gas in front of strangers was very bizarre  |
