Our big trees came down in early February, but the ones in the kids rooms stayed up into a couple of weeks back.

We haven't quite made it into February but in the past we've had ours up into the teens in January.

This year we were extra efficient though, on January 1st we decided that we couldn't be arsed looking at the tree anymore, and since it was a Saturday and the decorations are a pain in the bum anyway we just decide it was best to get it over with. I'm glad we did really, even though I hate actually doing it :D

You could have a point there. When I was in daughter's room last night replacing the tree light batteries it looked as if some invisible demon had taken hold of her room, turned it upside down and shaken it vigorously for 15 minutes before setting it back right way up. I also found a bowl and spoon I thought missing for 6 months.

Treasure Island grocery on Broadway - 3600 block I think. They sell Irish Back Bacon. Very good it is.

There's a place in Richmond, where I work that does it, bangers too. Probably the same stuff, it seems to originate in Chicago.

Pretty bloody good but a bit on the pricey side. I get it once in a while as a treat :)

I'll tell you, 'cause you're my neighbor. I've done something this year for the first time ever.

That tree is still standing.

We got a Noble this year because we liked it best out of what was available. I don't usually spend that much for a tree, but it wasn't outrageous.
Come New Year, down with the tree per normal, decorations & lights put away and ready to carry it outside.
But it still looked perfect, and the needles were completely springy. So I though, well, the back yard is still pretty bare, let's just leave it in the water and put it out there for a couple of weeks.....

It's only just this week started to turn brown at the top, the birdies have enjoyed it & so have I, I definitely feel like I got my money's worth (!) and except for the twinge of shame about still having an Xmas tree, well, it's been quite nice.
Whew, I feel much better for confessing.

Nothing wrong with that - you paid for it, you might as well get the use out of it!

Plus, once the decorations are off and it's in the garden it's just a conifer again, not a Christmas tree :). Nice going though, 3 months after Christmas and it still looks good.

I was quite good about taking my tree down this year. I put it away around the 17 January, however, last year it was up until mid February!:o

I think you should all be lauded for still putting one up! I'm passed it now, though I'm not Scrooge ... I wish I weren't passed it. Used to put the tree up on Christmas Eve through Twelfth Night and couldn't imagine not doing, (only it doesn't seem practical on my todd now).
