Sorry to hear of your Mum needing surgery hon' hope she has lots of loving care and a full recovery
I have had a few sleepless nights myself here lately, I am actually regretting that hubby didn't apply for the openings in the UK now
I am sure things will get better, it's just us living in separate States with no real hope of him getting a job here, at least in the near future. As much as I hate to think of moving again, I am actually considering asking him to look for openings on other bases, in other States! I know...crazy huh, after what we have all just put ourselves through to get my Son and I back to IL

Hi All,
Just wanted to update you on my mums surgery...
I actually had the date wrong, she went into hospital on Monday, but the surgery was today. She spent 9 hours in surgery and they've got 95% of the tumour out. The remaining 5% is apparently very close to some nerves so that's going to be treated with radiation to kill if off fully.
She lost her hearing on the left a few months before they found the tumor, but there has been no other apparent nerve damage. So that's good.
Thanks again,
-Simon
