Just side load Mobdro on a Fire TV and you can watch all the live TV you want. Not that I'd know anything about it.

I'm sure the selection will improve given time. All of the other streaming services received criticism at first. Without support, the service will go away and we'll be complaining again!

I see the UK public is complaining about TV license again.

If only they knew how expensive TV can be. They don't know how lucky they are.

True, here they just drop pedo cases. I mean what harm have those scum done to people? This was a school teacher at a local school. Sometimes I think the US has got it's social priorities wrong. And here we go all political of course , in true BE fashion.

Lucky? Being forced to pay to prop up an organization that produces (mostly) crappy content even if the person doesn't consume it?

Should have been scrapped a long time ago. Stick some commercials on the channels and have done with it.

++ This

150 shitbox channels, 90% of which I will never even look at and the remainder filled with the same 4 commercials that repeat over and over and over and over and.. * twitch *

No thanks.

Non-commercial TV would be worth a (small) fortune to me.

I still don't understand why they play the same commercial twice in the same 5 minute block. Maybe one day it will make sense to me.

The BBC produces some of the most highly regarding programming in the world. Seriously - internationally envied documentaries, dramas and news.

Did you only ever tune in when Bargain Hunt was on, or something.

No. The TV licence is what, about £13 a month, right? For that small fee you get access to all that quality programming that you have unfortunately missed, commercial free (which means an hour-slot is filled by an hour, or at least 55 minutes of programming) which wouldn't exist if they had advertisers to please and bow down to, which is probably why ITV is shit.

Honestly, David Attenborough alone is worth the license fee and then some.

Or in the case of The Walking Dead lately, you get five minutes of programming between each commercial break. ****ity ****.

Then watch OTA channels. At least you don't need to fork out anything per month for that.

I agree cable here is priced highly, but then so is Sky in the UK.

In recent years my BBC consumption was pretty much The Apprentice and Traffic Cops.

Seriously though, no TV network on Earth, and I'd argue on other planets with TV networks as well, can produce a wildlife documentary like the BBC. None.

I think that's a fair statement to make, I just don't watch it.
