I called and while they didn't call back they fixed it. Then today I got an email asking me if the fix had worked. Did take them 3 days to email. Try and log in using their web site. If you can and you have another email address you can use, go to your account page cancel the first account and then set up another one. Like most new computer based services they didn't seem to have it quite right out of the box. Other than that as the log in problems seem to have been resolved just see if you can log in on your Roku box again. All seems to be resolved now. |

Re: BritBox
Went out and got a Roku Express so I could get in on the action. For $29, it was better than waiting for the Fire TV app!
Set it up today (my first day off since it arrived) and signed up for the 7 day trial, with every intention of supporting the service. After 19 years here, it's nice to be able to watch Eastenders without searching torrents, hoping the site doesn't go down (lost two sources over they years!) and, yes, skirting the law! I can finally support the programming I want to watch! If a Fire TV app comes out tomorrow, I'm only out the $29 and I could probably return it if it's not too long. If it is, then the $30 was worth it to be watching now. P.S. Watched the first ever episode of Porridge. I almost (almost) forgot how funny it was! "I read a book once. Green it were"!!! |
Re: BritBox
can you sideload the android Britbox app?
How to side-load apps on to the Amazon Fire TV - Geek.com It's sad when people trying to make profit from a legitimate site http://britboxtv.com/ |
Re: BritBox
Still enjoying Britbox:thumbup:
I have been watching Scott and Bailey, I really like it! M has been in the garage playing with his works in progress so I've been binge watching ;) |
Re: BritBox
Loving my Britbox.
Just about every episode of Doctor Who has now been added (classic series, not the 2005+ stuff) and now, EVERY episode of Red Dwarf! Having gotten herself hooked on Lewis and Endeavor, DW is working her way through Inspector Morse. Of course, we're enjoying the legit version of EastEnders and getting re-hooked on Casualty, having not watched for over 20 years (spoiler alert: Charlie's still on it!). There's only seven episodes and we've watched five so far, but we're enjoying New Blood. (BTW, Ken, I tried side-loading on the Fire TV but failed, so enjoying the Roku). |
Re: BritBox
Forgot to add - all 11 series of Red Dwarf is now on Britbox too! Smeg. That's a LOT of re-watching!

Now, if they could get all of the original runs of Blockbusters, Fifteen to One and Countdown on there I might be further convinced. |

I never really watched that. My mum did though. I can remember the theme tune, that's about it. For pure nostalgia alone, it would almost make me think of signing up. For those of a northern persuasion, or a sympathizer, Corrie was added today!

Had an email saying using promo code IWANTBRITBOX will get 2 weeks free. Personally, not interested, but figured someone might be.

Re: BritBox
I have only just now heard of Britbox - I wanted to introduce my OH to Life on Mars so this is perfect. I wonder if they will add Ashes to Ashes to the list. As for Crossroads - I would love to see this on here, if only to explain Acorn Antiques better than I have done to OH.
I noticed it says Final Chance on some programs - do programs disappear regularly? And how much notice do you get? |

Re: BritBox
Yeah, too new to tell. I did notice that Corrie says the episodes will only be available for about 5 days after broadcast. I don't watch it, so not sure if this means it'll drop off or what. I suspect tht's the case, though.
|
Re: BritBox
Thanks for the info - I will keep an eye on it. Hopefully Red Dwarf will be available long enough to start that again and watch them all. As I don't watch the soaps, I can cope with them disappearing quickly

Re: BritBox
Agreed, but at least they're adding stuff all the time. THere's a new show I knew nothing about and the first episode is on there today. It's called Kat & Alfie: Redwater, and it's the Moons from EastEnders in Ireland, looking for her long lost son and discovering a secret...etc.
Like I said before, to be able to watch EastEnders on the same night it airs in the UK legally is worth it to me on its own. We're working our way through A Touch Of Frost now and re-watches of RD and Porridge make it well worth the $7 a month! |
Re: BritBox
Well done you lot, you've made me sign up now too. It was Red Dwarf and Cora that clinched it
|
Re: BritBox
Anyone else watch the Trooping Of The Colour today?
