I see Amazon has them refurbished for $60 with prime shipping.

Should be ok with Amazon backing it.

Mine was a new one, direct from Roku. They sent me an email offer a couple of weeks ago so I took them up on it.

FYI it looks like BritBox is now available as an Amazon Prime Video subscription channel.

$6.99 a month

I noticed this the other day and was about to post. We are just waiting for Hulu subscription to end. I did get to look through all the shows available on the Amazon channel

At the moment, I watch Britbox on my Apple TV but have Amazon Prime on my smart TV.

In order to watch Britbox via Amazon, I have to cancel my Britbox subscription and sign up for the Amazon channel.

I'm emailing Britbox to see if I can transfer the Britbox sub to Amazon to avoid losing all my settings/favorites/history, etc.

Is there anything current on Britbox, all the shows seem reruns of shows years old.?

Soaps. Eastenders, Emmerdale, Casualty, Holby City. Plus a few others.

We just started watching Del & Rodders.

Got a quick reply: Need to cancel & re-subscribe on Amazon.

Has anyone had experience of an Android TV box? I have read that it may be the way to go for TV viewing.

I cut the cord 2 years ago and haven't paid for US and UK tv and sports since. Mayweather v McGregor fight last night was free too.
My TV has a FireStick in it with Mobdro (live TV app) and Terrarium (on demand tv and movies). Also have these installed on my LG tablet and phone. You can also put the same programs on a Kindle Fire since it is essentially an Android device.
Wouldn't pay for BritBox. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

So, you not only openly pirate, but encourage others to do the same?

Nice!

Had Britbox for a couple of weeks now.

Since I have two Fire TV boxes I subscribed to the Amazon channel. The picture quality is a superbly stable 1080p, since it's running on Amazon's infrastructure. I would recommend anyone starting with Britbox to subscribe via Amazon Video if you have a device that plugs into the Amazon ecosystem.

And Strictly just started!

Nobody is encouraging piracy. Nobody is petitioning for an International TV licence either.

He's just promoting consumer choice in a free market where anyone can make it and where big business can squash his rights label him a criminal instead of a visionary and take away his freedom for a victimless crime.

If you use kodi or other streaming software, you may leave yourself open to prosecution in the future. It's up to the individual to weigh up the risks.
