There ain't no loaf that's worth $18, or even $15 (if shipping is cheaper than I expect).

I order every four months and it is a large order of meats, bread and other German products. It comes fedex and there is no delivery charge over a certain fee. And yes, bread for me is worth $8-10 a loaf. It is not an everyday bread but one served on "occasions", i.e. holidays. It is imported frozen and remains frozen and I keep it frozen until ready to use it and then you do the final "baking" for 20 minutes and have a crusty hot loaf of fresh bread.

Bread is one thing UK supermarkets seem to manage infinitely better than US equivalents.

Any place in Europe handles bread infinitely better than the US.

It's frosting for bread.

Except it actually contains more sugar and fat than frosting. One of those classic cases where they make it worse for you but act as if it is better.
