Archie Harrison, what are the ruling classes thinking? Better be thankful for small mercies, it could have been Javonte Da'Quin!

EDIT: To be clear, there is nothing wrong with any of those names, but this is the British monarchy, who have kept us knee deep in Edward's, George's and Charles' for centuries...

The point they seem to be making to me is that by the 7th or 8th in line, its all a bit moot what he's called, because there's no way he'll ever be king. nth-in-line is a largely academic exercise in genealogy

Yeah but when Lizzie does the decent thing and karks it then we'll have a Prince Archie ... if Charlie can nab the throne before Will's grabs it.

Anne resisted titles for her kids in a less relaxed era, so there seems to be no reason why the new kid can’t do without, too.

Very much seems to be the model they’re following. Those names are still really awful mind.

I said to my partner this morning that those were names likely to get the kid beat up on a regular basis . Archie? Poor thing saddled not only with the name but he's probably going to have red hair as well.

I really don't understand why everyone's making a fuss about it all, best to ignore it and it might all go away?

I made reference to the comic strip on FB yesterday naming Archie, Veronica and Betty. Hubby reminded me about Jughead and I said the same as you....the next kid will have that name.

Archie is not an unusual name for a baby these days, I've heard of many Alfies, Georges, all the Granddad names are in fashion. I was expecting Albert.

The news did explain that Archie is a favored name in the UK.

Apparently Prince George was out for a walk with his grandma and introduced himself as Archie.
