According to what's been on TV tonight the police are re-interviewing based on the TV interviews last night and today.

The parents allegedly phoned a TV/radio station before dialling 911.

The parents even filmed the balloon taking off...there was no sign of the bit that was supposed to have fallen off. There was also clips of the father losing his temper on the Wife Swap shows...he threw drink over the substitute wife while ranting and raving in one clip.

I did hear they were going to conduct additional interviews. If they really did call a TV/radio station before 911 then I agree with you 100%.

I hope that if they do find out that it was a publicity stunt, the authorities send the Dad a big hefty bill for wasting everyone's time!

......and prosecute him for filing a false report.

It's beginning to look rather questionable indeed, judging by the TV Reports.

CNN reports that he called the FAA and A TV Station "to see if they had a Helicopter in the area" before making the 9-1-1 call.

The father is supposed to be making a major announcement in 2 hours.

I wonder if you can fly something that size without getting some sort of permission from the authorities.

Federal Aviation Regulations Part 101

If the father filed a NOTAM just before the whole mess started, he'll have lots of 'splainin to do.

Brief Press Conference:

The dad now wants reporters questions in advance. The saga continues.

That interview was from Thursday night...I believe Larry King interviewed them first then Wolf Blitzer. There was also interviews Friday morning on NBC and ABC...Falcon threw up during both interviews.

A couple of behavioural/body language experts (allegedly) were on TV yesterday. Both said the father was acting very shifty and probably lying and the boy was probably so nervous he threw up.

Figured hoax from the beginning. Too many inconsistencies. Nice lesson to teach your children, idiots. Hope they get jailed, heavily fined and have a serious look at the welfare of the children in their care. Arseholes.

Wow...the sheriff is saying they knew it was a hoax all along but had to go along with it in order to bring charges against the parents.

The parents should be ashamed of themselves (which of course they won't be)...putting the child through all that. They told him to lie and put him through several live TV interviews even though he was physically sick. :curse:

Boy, you aren't kidding! I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because I couldn't imagine someone putting their kid in that position.

The latest is that the parents are ready to give themselves up to the police.
