Watching it all unfold now on Sky news and CNN, I hope to god he's hiding somewhere and didn't fall out. It's heartbreaking :-(

Yeah, I hope he's hiding too. If not, it can't be good.

I'm watching this on the local news right now. I hope he got out safely, if he was ever in the basket in the first place. The thing has now landed in the country to the NE of Denver.

It's an unusual occurance that will get people to watch and the more people that watch the better the ratings and that makes advertising time more valuable?

just kids having some fun on a day off from school, pity it turned into a national news story really, lots of costly involvement by lots of different agencies. Typical 6 yr old boy, hiding out in the attic till all the bru ha ha was over.

I'm glad it wasn't an unhappy ending, i'm sure he will get hours of fun from telling his story to all his friends in school.

NYCBound got it in one.

Imagine being so afraid of your father that when he yells at you, you hide for hours in fear of his temper.

Or imagine being so obedient to your father that you go along with the plan....

This story isn't quite worked out yet, it seems.

I told my husband yesterday afternoon it was a publicity stunt. The father should be locked away in a padded cell.

Padded cells are so that the occupant can't harm themself?

If the latest reports are true, an unpadded cell will do nicely.

The authorities don't seem to think so. We may never know for sure, but at least the little boy is safe.
