Good mexican and tex mex stuff - enchiladas, chicken monterrey - that kind of thing. None of that old el paso crap. I'll pass on the menudo though...

After living in the South for a combined total of 19 years I finally ate grits. Not by choice mind you, but I was doing a group cruise presentation at a church and they were serving breakfast. They kindly fixed me a plate and there there lying in all their granular, white, bland glory was a HUGE helping of grits. Well to be polite I ate 'em. I won't be doing that again.
