Malasadas on the Big Island of Hawai'i. I think they're a Portuguese creation. Lotsa Portuguese influence in the Islands.

The Portuguese moved there to work in the pineapple plantations 100 years ago.

Malnati's beats Gino's to me. Same theory though.
Keith loved the Chicago pizza. Also Mexican food (particularly guacamole).
And whatever I cooked (smart man) including filet mignon (filet steaks) on the grill.

BBQ is high on my list. If they like a vinegar taste I bring out the NC style BBQ. Good BBQ potato chips (crisps) and occasionally the kettle cooked chips as well.
Good Mexican food is also something I try to demonstrate (though I heard a Chioptle-like place just opened near the Angel tube that I'll have to try next time I'm over).
Since I live in MD we also bring out the Blue Crabs, if they are seafood lovers.
I also find Pho, the Vietnamese Soup, to be a big hit. The Pho places I've visited in London are kind of tame compared to the ones in Northern Virginia (where there are several hundred thousand Vietnamese).
I just saw a piece on TV about some guys in Texas who 'Deep Fry' Coca-Cola. Think I'll pass on that. I also some guy deep fry a Twinkie once. A bit much.
When I have guests from China, I usually take them out for a steak, since most of the steaks I've had over there or in Hong Kong looked, smelled, and tasted like an old shoe.

I also like banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) but I never saw those in London.

Pizza here is much nicer.
Jalepeno and cheese bagels with jalapeno cream cheese.
Salad...a whole new dimension here.

Another place with good Vietnamese is Berlin. Apparently there was a pretty big community there in East Germany times. Hong Kong Vietnamese, for what its worth, is pretty awful. It's been 'Chinese-ized' to local tastes, making it a bit more dull than it should be.

Just thought of something Pumpkin roll, love it. I thought it sounded disgusting when someone first mentioned it but it's scrumptious.
