Aside from the potato and cheddar pie, would you care to explain what about that breakfast is not a proper component of a "full English breakfast"?

As far as I am concerned all the other things listed in the description are commonly part of a "full English", ..... and it is missing a slice of fried bread, and the previously mentioned blackpudding. :(

Seems entirely reasonable to me:

A man dialled 999 to ask police to arrest his girlfriend and her cat after she allowed her pet to eat his bacon.

West Yorkshire Police confirmed that man wanted his girlfriend and her cat detained following the incident.

A serious offence had been committed. Why wouldn't you call the police?

I'm joining this excellent bacon party rather late, but saw this magnificent comparison of British and American bacon this morning:

Then what's your excuse for posting and anti-bacon link in a pro-bacon thread? Things can turn nasty very quickly where bacon's concerned...

As Bill "Bacon Butty" Shankly said, "Bacon's not a matter of life and death. If's far more important than that."

This all needs to stop. We're omnivores. That is dictated by our evolution. Everyone needs to eat their meat, eat their starch and eat their vegetables and bugger off.

Bacon sandwiches all round. Extra HP on mine, please.

That is implicit. It isn't a bacon sandwich otherwise.

Looks like you only get three rashers in that. I hope there are at least two under those ones we can see

Costco bacon is Danish bacon and is the closest I've found to the proper stuff.

and it's fairly cheap too. It is "smoked" bacon but isn't too strong and isn't horribly seet and icky like the US smoked bacon.

I found "country ham" in my local Kroger-owned grocery last weekend, and it is a better approximation to proper bacon than American streaky bacon, but I called in at another grocery in the same chain this morning, and they didn't seem to stock it. :(

I got County ham from our local HEB a couple of time and agreed very much like real bacon. Unfortunately they stop stocking it and I haven't found it since :(

If you have a nearby Waffle House, they have it on the menu, it comes in a great hunking slice, nearly as big as a plate! .... It is usually on the "steaks" part of the menu.
