The beeb has streaming Ashes radio cover and highlights, but like most sport it's blocked from those of us outside the UK. I'm not clever enough to know if it's possible to get round this or not, but have a husband and visiting brother who'd like to be able to catch some highlights. BBC World Service isn't covering it, not sure about Aussie radio or other sources. Any suggestions? We have FSC so that gives them some daily updates via Sky Sports News, and they can check the scores online, but looking for radio or video that is live (and preferably free). Thanks. |

Not found a video stream yet but Boycott is on BBC 5 Live Sports Extra at the moment, hopefully it won't cut off once play starts.

http://www.mikesradioworld.com/eu_uk.html We're listening to that now, too. Waiting to see if it will cut off. We're blocked from BBC radio and ABC Australia. Have a look at this for some stream suggestions http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=409589 |
Re: The Ashes--radio or tv coverage
I'm listening right now through the Radio 4 listen live website. I'm not connected to a UK proxy server or anything like that... works for me! Australia are 136-1 :(

Interesting! We can't access R4 at all (we can never access the sport when it's 'blocked'), but then someone sent us a link that works. I didn't ask any questions--just happy to have a link. The boys have bought one of the streaming packages, so we're watching, which isn't nearly as much fun as we'd hoped :( |

Re: The Ashes--radio or tv coverage
Seriously, spend $100 for 175hrs of live cricket plus highlights whenever you want.
I' m currently watching the domination while Gower bemoans the lack of support for Flintoff. Well worth it. |

We had such a wonderful time during the last Ashes series--we went to most of the first and last tests and took our summer holiday in between. Seems like yesterday! |
