Hello all fellow Brits!
Have just immigrated to USA from UK, originally from Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire, now in Battle Ground, Washington. Would love to meet up with other Brits to have a good old moan about starting a new life...!! Anyone know of other Brits in Southwest Washington State?

Hi there,
I will be moving to Spokane WA soon (hopefully - haven't had interview yet!)... It's not South-West WA but you're the closest person I have found so far!! Should be there around April, fingers crossed!
I will look up where you are... geography isn't my strongest subject!

Hi Claire:
Spokane is a lovely part of the state, allthough they might have 6 or 7 inches of snow at this time of the year. Spokane and that area is famous for the apple orchards they do grow a lot of apples now where I moved to Florida which is 3,500 miles from Washington is famous for it's Oranges. I drove here from Washington it took me nearly 5 day's which is pretty good.
Good luck with your interview.
Jimmy.
P.S.I moved from Hull 20 years ago and do not regret it.

Hi Jimmy,
I have visited Spokane many times over the years as my sister has been there for 13... hence how I met my fiance!
He's from Bellingham and his Mom lives on the San Juan Islands - a great place to visit....
Interestingly I was born in Beverley just outside Hull!! Small world eh..
Thanks for your best wishes...

My family is looking to move to the Tri-Cities from Cheshire before the end of the year. I would love to know a few more Brits over there. I used to live in Bellingham in the early 90s and move to Cheshire from Sacramento.

I am in Beautiful Bellingham WA near Mt Baker, a long way from you. We have a good Irish bar, in fact many good bars and micro brews if you are passing give me a shout.

Hi and welcome!
Maybe you would have more luck with meet and greets if you would put Portland Oregon in the title line?
Even though Battleground is in WA it probably relates more to Portland than Seattle or Spokane as the closest big metro is Portland?

Hi
Just thought i'd show my face in this thread. Moved from Manchester, England to Bellingham, WA in April, and i'm sure i've heard a few British accents around the town! We should all meet up and have a few drinks, it's been too long since i've had witty banter!

Not too far away in Portland, albeit Oregon...

Battle Ground? How on earth did you end up there?
Anyway, I'm rocking the joint in downtown Seattle and will be here for the next six months at least.
Hit me up if you want to party in the city. I have it all figured out up here!
