First you need a good cut.
Then -
Moroccan Oil Treatment or Fekkai Glossing Cream or Bumble and Bumble Products. All pricey but worth it.
Also, cheapest way is olive oil. Just a wee bit or will be too greasy.

I've recently switched to using Pantene's Normal/Thick Frizzy to Smooth shampoo and conditioner. The humidity hasn't hit Boston yet, but I'm a big fan so far. They also have a leave in cream.
There's also a regular normal/thick shampoo, so make sure you're getting the Frizzy to Smooth.
It probably doesn't work as well as everybody else's suggestions, but you can get it at your neighborhood drugstore for not much money. And there are generic versions if you want to cut the cost a bit more.

Now it does depend on your hair length and thickness. Mine is long, curly so I use about a nickle size. Then I let my hair air dry. So purrrrty.

Just like you would with mousse or creme - towel dry hair (lightly), a dime size dollop of oil (any oil) rub betwix hands then through your damp hair.

I love EV olive oil (use it on my face), but never thought about trying it on my hair . . . .

Try Coconut oil. Smother your hair in it and leave overnight then wash out the following morning. It penetrates the hair shaft.

My trouble is my skin/scalp is too sensitive, reacts to almost any commercial product. I have dry hair too, so have been trying the water-only method for hair. I've been using extra virgin olive oil for years on my face, so maybe I should try oil on my hair too . . . .

Yes, I've also tried Olive oil, but for me it doesn't penetrate the oil shaft like coconut oil. Coconut oil is also good to put on the ends of your hair in between washes. This is what many Polynesian/Indian women use on their hair....it does work.

Have you asked the folks there for advice? When I gave myself a blotchy leopard print head after a disastrous self-streaking attempt, the person on duty was amazing at helping me to sort it out so I could appear in public again!

Both sound good. Just wondering how either or both would work with the water-only hair method. (I.e.--no shampoo, just water)
My hair has turned very dry in this country's climate. But . . . I'm hesitant, wondering whether such thick oils as macadamia or coconut will rinse out properly, since I only "wash" with warm water, using no shampoo or hair products.
