I don't know why there was such opposition to body cams by Police. I would think for the vast majority it would protect the police more than the public, with regards to who did what.

If black lives matter, how can you justify shooting a black police officer?

The end of the AR-15 assault rifle could be achieved by telling the manufacturer that such weapons can no longer be sold anywhere in the US. This would not violate the Second Amendment as far as I can see. After all you cant buy surface to air missile launchers either.

The AR-15 has caused too many deaths already and nobody needs such a weapon

I'm sure there are many alternatives to the AR-15. It's just the AR-15 is more popular than the ak-47 or ak-74

Didn't seem to matter apparently. All he saw was a police uniform

Is anyone trying to justify it, apart from murderers & their accomplices? (Genuine question, I'm not really following the news on this.)

There are only two reasons he shot a black cop - he did it by accident (didn't see the skin colour, or was aiming for a different target) or he didn't care about the fact that the guy was black (so probably not a black lives matter fan). If the latter then you might want to question why certain media outlets are trying to push this him into the BLM camp.

Not that expensive, $2k?

Anyway the main thing was that he did not use an AR15, and it was not black. The gun that is.

Comfy light tan colour.

AR-15's are now sub $1000. I don't know many "rich white" people that spend $2k on a gun. Remember these are supposed to be "poor black" people shooing the police.

So he was probably just fed up with society. He had devoted some of his life "defending" his country and then was just left by the wayside. The police were just a topical target, but could have been any authoritarian figure or building?

That always makes me laugh, seems he served behind a desk. As is often the case.

He was into radical Nation of Islam BLM etc issues.

So just another crazy person by the sound of things. He joined the army because he couldn't get a job anywhere else maybe.
