Default Am I missing something..?

Hello all,

Recently moved to the US on an E2 Employee visa. Everything is going fine so far, but I keep thinking I'm missing something that I need to do. I work for a small company and I was the Guinea Pig for this visa, so I don't have a colleague in the same position as me.

I have a US bank account and my SSN and driving licence is in process. Can anyone think of anything else I should look into getting? I have an odd feeling that I'm missing something, but can't think what it might be

Does anyone have any suggestions for what else I need/ should do?

Thanks!

Is your company making the proper USA tax withholding payments on your income, along with the employer's share of contributions to unemployment and medicare? If you are the first to come over, this might be something that has escaped the accountants back home.

If they fail to make these payments, come tax time the burden falls to you.

Get some advice on a retirement plan. You can reduce the taxes you'll pay.

Thanks guy. I thought this was too straight forward. I'll speak to my employers back in the UK to make sure this all gets sorted
