Not even the tenth choice, me thinks. “Harris is a cop†has been a repeated refrain of the progressive wing, given her SF DA and CA AG experience.

That’s right, folks on BE are just two dimensional cardboard cut outs and can just be neatly categorized - job done.
Neither she nor Biden are remotely "left". They may be classed as "liberal" on some issues, by some people. https://www.bbc.com/news/election-us-2020-53728050 |

So yes cautiously optimistic, even happier if that gang of crooks and liars in the WH are thrown into the dustbin of history. |

Trump contributions to "Nasty", "Mean", "Horrible" Kamala Harris's California Atty. General campaigns: 2011 - $5000 (Donald) 2013 - $1000 (Donald) 2014 - $2000 (Ivanka) Total $8000 so...Ignore his tongue and... Follow his money (which probably came not from his pocket, but from the coffers of the "Trump Charitable ;) Foundation" - just like "his" VA donation ) |

Since wikipedia is open to edits by all (by default), this happens all the time with politicians. I believe they have a special category they can apply to certain people whereby they stop the process of allowing the general public to update the page. Standard Operating Procedure.
Equally unsurprisingly, this is such an acknowledged circumstance on Wikipedia that it has its own Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Edit_warring. A summary of the actions taken on Kamala Harris's page, per standard Wikipedia edit policy for people in the news, can be read by anybody on the talk page for her entry: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Kamala_Harris Nice attempt, Boiler. Troll on elsewhere, you may get a bigger bite... |

Re: 2020 Election
The excitement is building just as I said would happen.
I said many months ago(14 months) that Biden would win the nomination because he was the one candidate that Trump would struggle to successfully slander. I also said that if Biden picked Harris that decision would go a long ways in creating the "Obama Effect". Generating excitement, making people feel invested in their country and especially those people that are minorities, folks who are son's and daughter's of first or second generation Americans, Women voters and most especially people that have been harmed by Trump's actions in office. That last one probably includes all of us. Here in Florida there is a lot of positive feedback from independent voters that love the idea that Harris is the daughter of first generation American parents. That seems to be a very big deal for many people that responded in the last 24 hours. Btw, Trump & Co are having a very difficult time trying to define Harris. Her being the Top cop in the most populated state in America is not easily seen as a far left liberal involvement. Kamala was in charge of 7,000 district Attorneys across the state of California as Attorney General. As a side note I recently watched that face off between Harris and Barr in the Senate hearings and you could tell who was the better mind in that encounter. The Trump situation has made me wonder about a few aspects in how to approach future elections. This dictator power grab by the Republican party has made me feel that this could happen again if moderate, independent and Democrat voters let their guard down in the future. And for that reason I believe it's extremely important to look at the Obama Effect approach to building voter involvement as a means to avoid ever having another Trump come into power. I think by having Presidential Tickets that garner huge excitement among all the various groups mentioned might be the wave of the future and the now, in order to protect this country from autocrats. We actually have an Autocrat in the White House that supports Russia more than he defends the American people. |

Great speech tonight by Kamala Harris and Biden doesn't have a clue what day of the week it is. But I think they will win. Trump is on his way out.
