A 'Napa Valley hypocritical type' is an instance of a Champagne socialist.
And an example of who this is? and why is it wrong, a derogatory term used by the right wing. a sort of "Noblesse Oblige" perhaps.
Not ideal perhaps but better than callous wealthy people like Trump and his ilk..

It's not a term I use and I'm not saying it's 'wrong'. Just explaining what it means. I think it's quite a good descriptive term, though.

I know what a Champagne Socialist is. Napa Valley hypocrite? something to do with wine caves I suspect.
A term used by right-wing critics to disparage more progressive political opponents?

I always thought it stood for people who claim to support socialist causes, but prefer to do so from the safety and comfort of their drawing-room rather than on the barricades. Fashionably Red, if you will.

Karl Marx in addition to his income as an attorney, the family owned a number of Moselle vineyards. An early Champagne Socialist? A Moselle Valley Hypocrite?

Right, brace yourself, here goes!
From what I can understand it is an Islamic thing. 85% of the populace are (for ease of understanding this explanation) the sheep, 10% are those that control the 85% - think along the lines of politicians and clergy, and the remaining 5% are those in the know - the Muslim equivalent of Qanon, or the sheep that can't cut it as 10%ers.

Its official America has become a third world country under Trump's leadership. The European Union has banned all Americans from traveling into the Eurozone. I wonder if Trump supporters are proud of that distinction. I'm sure Putin is proud of America's stupidity. And I want to be clear in saying Trump supporters are dumbing down America. When used correctly politics can truly improve a country but in the hands of the least informed politics can turn a successful country into a former world power.

Have you ever actually lived and worked in a third world country?

I was talking to my Brother and from what he was saying about his trips to the Supermarkets etc things were much more relaxed in the UK than here, sort of confirmed my the UK media stories. And of course not otherwise would not have made such a silly comment.

Maybe it depends on whereabouts in the UK and what you mean by relaxed. My daughter is still queuing 2 metres apart around the car park in order to get into Tesco's.

Fair enough. My daughter has never worn or been asked to wear a mask but then she hasn't been going out. She was treating the lockdown as lockdown and has only been going 50 yards down the road to queue in a car park in order to get bread. Her boyfriend has just got a job working for the job centre or whatever they're called these days, he's not been told to wear a mask. Pretty sure Boris doesn't want anyone doing anything that could prevent it spreading.
