An interesting report on Iowa, seems all the errors coincidentally went against Bernie, sounds familiar.

Warren's comments come after a Politico report Thursday said six staffers had left Warren's Nevada campaign because of what is described in the story as a culture that "tokenized" minority voices.

She does not seem to have figured much in Iowa.
In the Politico story, they expressed concerns about the campaign's Latino outreach in Nevada, saying Spanish-language engagement efforts had been slow and in some cases nonexistent.
The one (repeatedly aired) Warren TV Ad I have seen in NV is in Spanish with English subtitles.

But the idea of winning the popular vote still affects the narrative as it's why Nate Silver built it into his election model, and Sanders has got a boost in his polling. So has Buttigieg of course.

It's not the reader of the insult, it's the target. If I were to say something racist but only white people heard it, does that mean it is then OK? So, yes it is different.
So this is all because you think that it detracts from the debate. I don't know why it was so hard for you just to say that. That's your opinion, that's fine. I have laid out my reasons for not liking Bloomberg before, and to be honest, I just like to have a bit of fun at his expense as well. Sorry if it bothers you, but I'm sure he'll be OK.

Hopefully she can at least finish ahead of Biden in New Hampshire. At this point, Biden must be praying for a win in South Carolina, where the polls still have him way ahead.
I thought it was a good debate overall, probably the best so far with all the candidates getting asked tough questions by the moderators. The question about black people disproportionately getting arrest for weed and Buttigieg and his answer was devastating. He must be at about -10% support with black people now.

There hasn't been any polling in SC after the Iowa results, so we'll have to wait to see if Biden experiences the same drop in support he has elsewhere.

This article, written before the caucus, shows the media surveyed were going to declare the winner based on SDEs, not the popular vote, Some campaigns, including Sanders' were more equivocal. But, really, if you can't see even a smidgeon of irony in a Democratic candidate touting a popular vote win when the goal of the election was to win delegates then you really need to at least lighten up and be less defensive when your preferred candidate is being discussed.

I'm sure he'll be OK too. And because I doubt he reads BE, it's completely irrelevant to the point being made which was the impact such pejoratives have on discussion on this message board.

Well no it's not ironic because there really isn't a comparison to 2016. Sanders claiming a win is pure political spin to build momentum as the nomination process goes on, and I would have expected any other campaign to do the same thing in the same circumstances. I also don't have a problem with Buttigieg claiming a win even when the results are still disputed. But when he claimed to be victorious before *any* results were know was tacky. Claiming a "popular vote" victory was all about Democrats being sad that they lost and trying to undermine Trump's victory. It's just a shame they didn't channel that sadness into making a concerted effort to abolish the electoral college. But there was no dispute about who the actual winner was in 2016.

It is relevant as I said because the point is the target of the pejorative rather than the audience. If the case could be made that using Little Mikey was harmful to Bloomberg then you would have a point. Clearly that isn't true. So this is a you problem.

I only post on here for my own entertainment. If people like my posts/hate my posts, that's on them.

Exhibit "A" that you really are unable to stop being defensive even a little about your preferred candidate.

Keep repeating that line doesn't make it any less wrong.

Well, it sure seems like you have some kind of need to have the "last word". So go for it...

Easily deflected in a debate that nobody will look into if they didn't already know about it.

The more I talk to people both in person and online, the more I see how little people know about the people they vote for. They vote for idiots because they never found out that they were an idiot in the first place.
