I'm going to guess that there will be multiple instances of Trump finding out about changes to legislation and programs through the media because they were included as 'riders' in pieces of legislation, that Trump was too busy 'winning' to actually read.

The penny obviously hasn't dropped. I only post in this thread now because I know you will be all over me like a bad smell. You never disappoint. :sneaky: ;)

Maybe a moderator should stop your trolling this thread then ;)

But at least we cleared up who was playing cat and mouse.

It wonder how many of the free market capitalists in the GOP will take the time to remove Trump's dick from their mouths so they can object to this.

But the hypocrisy of Trump is astounding for an elected official, since every single thing he denounced Clinton for is represented in his "cabinet", I can't believe that Patreus even made the shortlist. Most politicians are clever enough with words to skirt around the truth, he just plain lies to entertain his supporters.

Obama had no experience in an executive position in government nor leading an organization of any size in the private sector. If someone is hired to do a job generally some level of experience preferred. Having said that, considering his lack of experience whether one agrees with his policies or not, he didn't do too badly in running the government for 8 years. Unlike Trump while Obama did portray himself more of a centrist that he was, I do think people who voted for Obama had a fairly good idea of what they were getting.

In Trump's case yes he has had executive experience, but who on earth knows what the country is getting. The Patreus example is a good one- after months of going on about emails and corruption, to even consider Patreus is beyond hypocritical. His other cabinet picks while some are quite qualified people, do seem the opposite types one would choose to "drain the swamp".

Trying to be optimistic ... If there's one thing Trump could do that the liberals would never have the balls to do is to re-invigorate the nuclear power industry. I'm convinced now that nuclear power is a necessary evil, and I believe that with sufficient investment and research, it can be made safe. But the Democrats are just never going to be able to overcome the environmentalist faction that will never allow nuclear power.

Doubt it will happen, but something to hope for.

That's what I am trying to hold on to as well, but sadly it seems that for now the only nuclear angle he's interested in is the weaponised one.

Vox is right to be skeptical, but I had to wince when it got the GDP formula wrong.

They've had nuclear power plants in France for years. Has anyone ever heard of a meltdown in one of their plants? I haven't. If they're built properly and plant personnel thoroughly trained in operation and safety they're far better than the coal burning lung destroying polluters who only the misguided think are still safer.
That being said I don't think nuclear power is a viable alternative for quaky old California. The San Ofre plant was decommissioned years ago

No fatalities but a bunch of smaller accidents:

Plus their nuclear power operator seems to be having a lot of issues with its plants:

But will they scrap them as they did in Germany recently?
