Agreed. The last several pages have been a silly discussion about how to somehow reverse the result of the election...carried on by those who will never reconcile themselves to the fact that the people wanted change from the current establishment, which so many felt were leading the country in the wrong direction.

Oh the irony. Back when Trump mistakenly thought Romney had won the popular vote. Seems like an endorsement for the electoral college to go with the popular vote.

Poor old Chris Christie. First he missed out on the VP spot to Pence, and now Pence has taken his spot as head of the transition team.
I've got a feeling he's going to get Ambassador to Afghanistan when this is all said and done. |

Dingell pointed to her constituents’ real wages, which, despite President Obama’s auto-industry bailout, have at best stagnated. “They don’t feel better off,†she explained. “They have less purchasing power; their health insurance costs more; they don’t trust their pensions to be there; and because we are a cyclical industry, they are frightened that something bad could happen at any time.†“The president did save my state’s industry,†she continued. “But what many keep missing is that working men and women don’t see this in their lives. They feel the system is rigged against them. And those workers are white, black, Hispanic, Muslim — all races, creeds and colors. Economic and national security fears overcame all other factors when they walked into the voting booth.†etc etc |

The ordinary working man or woman in this country isn’t asking for a lot. They want to make a decent living. They want to be able to provide for their family, buy a home in a safe neighborhood, put food on the table, go the doctor when they need to, afford their medicines and educate their children. What many don’t understand is how these things are in danger of becoming unattainable for too many Americans. |

It has started. An unannounced Wheely-bin appeared at all the properties on my street today. The note that came with it is obviously deceptive. Something about automation, safety, aesthetics. environment, WTF!

My own impression is that the Trump voters were not necessarily convinced his stated plans would work, but were convinced Clinton was a continuation of the status quo. Ironic that the Republican congress blocked a lot of Obama's initiatives, now will probably block many of Trump's. |

Hard for them to understand..it seems..but if a reasonably sane Republican had won we would still be displeased but not anywhere near how we feel now. We would simply have given it a chance because that person would not have encouraged the hatred and racism nor would he have been as totally clueless as Trump is.
If he had been seen as another Repub he would not have won. |
