Good read on the failure of the voting process. Been a believer in this for decades.

How Election 2016 Would Be Different With Ranked-Choice Voting

Conspiracy theorists tying themselves in knots:

"wait til the speeches come out"

Nothing there, mostly political cliches and waffle

"So why were they paying so much for her to give a speech - must be corruption and pay to play"

Oh please, Americans can barely understand picking between red and blue. You want to introduce some complex voting system?

I can't find the link right now, maybe it was just a tweet. Anyway Mark Cuban explained this phenomenon. Basically, companies and business people in general throw themselves at successful people and pay these seemingly crazy sums just to hear them waffle on for an hour in the hope some of it somehow rubs off on them. To us it sounds mad to pay 200k to hear the same old same old but to a desperate CEO he's hanging on every word.

Right...
The latest batch of Podesta email revelations re the Clinton campaign turns out to be a humongous crock of biteless bluster on the part of Assange & Co.
It's a dripless leak. There's been nothing nefarious or even interesting revealed.

But that won't stop Trump from sneering and snarling his way through Debate #3 this Wed.
He'll imply all manner of Clintonian corruption was uncovered by this trove of Wikileaks nothingness.

And even more dismaying is the realization that his best ally will be Hillary!
Her pathological secretiveness is her achilles heel.
Trump, as usual, will take full advantage of the appearance she creates....it lends credence to his preposterous accusations.

What is wrong with that woman? For a very smart person - she's so damned dumb.

It's ridiculous. Retired politicians, athletes, authors, and business execs all do the same thing, that's why they go on the "speaking circuit" ... it pays very well. Trump knows this but his knuckle draggers probably don't even know what a keynote speaker even is.

A sensible endorsement.

We agree with Trump, which is why The Sunday endorses Clinton - Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 | 2 a.m. - Las Vegas Sun Mobile

And Trump Jr is a piece of work too.

I'll try and find the article but way back she tried to be more open with the press and got totally slammed. After that there's been 30 years of the right going after her endlessly, it's gonna screw you up a it
