In Peru:

There is a general system of participation in company profits.
Employees of companies which perform activities generating third category income are entitled to
participate in the profits of the company, provided the company has more than 20 employees, and
they are subject to the labor regime for private employees.
Employees share the profits of the company through the distribution by the company of a
percentage of its net income before taxes. This percentage varies according to the employer’s
business, as shown:
%
Mining .................................................. ................... . 8
Fishing .................................................. ................... 10
Industrial .................................................. ............... 10
Telecommunications ................................................ 10
Wholesalers, retailers and restaurants ...................... 8
Other activities........................................ .................. 5
The participation payable to each employee is based on the days actually worked during the year
and the employee’s compensation, as follows:
1. 50 percent of the cash participation is distributed in proportion to the number of days worked by
each employee.
2. 50 percent is distributed in proportion to the compensation earned by each employee.
The maximum cash participation that each employee may receive is the equivalent of 18 monthly
wages as of the year-end. If there is any amount in excess, it should be contributed to the National
Fund for Work Qualification and Employment Promotion (Fondo Nacional de Capacitacion
Laboral y de Promocion del Empleo).
Payment to employees should be made within 30 days following the filing of the annual income
tax return (first week of April of each year).

Peru? Are you serious? The USA to take lessons, especially market intervention lessons, from Peru? Do you want to buy some swampland in Florida by any chance?

Ummm yes I am serious. That is the Peruvian system and since I lived in Peru for 6 years I am quit familiar with it. While Peru has its issues, it has been one of the fastest growing economies in the world. The profit sharing system is a boon to the economy and one of the reasons the apartment construction market is booming. It is not Eden here but that idea initiated in the U.S. would be a huge boost to the economy and lift many out of poverty. Or do you prefer the oligarchy. I will also add that any on the books employee in Peru receives 1 months vacation, an extra months pay in July and another in December, has a health care plan provided and receive 1.5 months pay for every year worked when they leave their job for any reason to a max of 18 months.

Bernie Sanders lent his voice to an album of folk covers. Given that he "sings" with his speaking voice and has a half-octave range at best, it's a good thing that he stuck to his day job.

The Untold Story of Bernie Sanders' 1987 Folk Album | Rolling Stone

According to this, he's a fan of Beethoven, Willie Nelson and other country music, and Motown. I would have guessed that he was into Woody Guthrie, Joan Baez, early Dylan and possibly Simon and Garfunkel, given his age, but he didn't mention them.

Yeah, I get the feeling that music and pop culture are not Bernie's forte. Regardless, the ad is lovely and apt. The sun is shining out of his ad people's ass today.

No, you really don't. You look like somebody that pays attention which is exactly what his ad agency did. It's an obvious match aesthetically.

I did something similar. I said he liked Willie Nelson, another obvious choice, and then read the link where he actually listed Willie as somebody he liked. The media is constantly ripping-off my ideas.

Both do just spring to mind as perfect matches for him. I won't feel bad then!

I know quite a few people who work for Non Profits, and companies that make no profit.
