Trump started off well but reverted to being typical Trump as he ran out of self control later on

Okay, so that people will understand ... and "online poll" is not what is being referenced when referring to "the polls".

An online poll is about as useful as a BE poll.

Gordon will like this one. Someone traced the IP for the recently trending trumpwon hashtag. You'll never guess where it started.

Saw this earlier & look forward to seeing the guys explanation on how exactly he obtained the IP address(es) of the initial posters.

Found this also. Think it's appropriate -

It's probably straight forward if you have access to the API or have a dev account. Lots of business users like to be able to track their brand.

Apparently someone dug up the 4chan and reddit threads listing the post debate polls and how to manipulate them.

The internet has been rigging online polls forever, why does anyone still think they mean anything?

Well nobody serious thinks they are accurate. However, the ability of polls (accurate or otherwise) to drive the media narrative is well documented. Once the media narrative sounds like "Is so and so on the back foot?" then suddenly they are on the back foot. People are easily influenced by these things.

When was the last time a non online poll was right?

BREXIT anybody.

Another thing to consider regarding all these online polls showing Trump "winning". Trump always enthuses over polls that show him winning. If he believes his own hype then maybe he'll prepare just as well for the next debate.

From re-reading his tweet/replies I'd take his findings with a pinch of salt till he releases more of his findings.

I've used Twitters API in the past for my own website (i'm just a hobbyist, but I do know PHP/JSON pretty inside out) and whatever data he's used I'm guessing came from Twitters geolocation (that gives you the users closest major city - if they allow it to be public) as a users originating IP address is well off-limits for obvious reasons. it's pretty inaccurate and easily faked... so open to abuse from people like 4Chan (like others have mentioned).

What's ol' Paul Manafort up to these day? He's disappeared like a fart in the wind.
