Trump's back from Mexico with a cement trowel stuck up his ass. They're not going to pay for his wall

"Mexico will pay for the wall. 100%. They don't know it yet, but they're going to pay for the wall."
How on earth does he think he can make them pay for his dumb wall?

Who do we believe? The Mexican President who says "I told him we would not pay for his wall," or Trump who says "the subject didn't come up" - my money is on Enrique Peña Nieto.

There was an interesting interview with a couple of California famers on CNN yesterday.
Apparently there's a shortage of fruit pickers. They cant recruit enough of them. This already presents a potential problem in the fruit and veg growing industry. If Trump were ever able to carry out his mass deportation of illegal immigrants who would replace these people who play such a vital part in the agricultural industry ?
Would Americans be willing to work long hours under temperatures of a 100 degrees or more for around 12 dollars an hour ? Doubt it
I could see America having to import an ever increasing amount of food in that case

Peña Nieto later tweeted "Al inicio de la conversación con Donald Trump dejé claro que México no pagará por el muro. ("At the beginning of the conversation with Donald Trump I made it clear Mexico will not pay for the wall")
Later, on Televisa (Mexican television), he reiterated: "Fui claro y enfático en que México no pagará el muro ("I was clear and emphatic that Mexico will not pay for the wall")
so...strictly speaking ( amusing to see Trump's two-step with the truth) it could be said they didn't "DISCUSS" the matter. Because they didn't; there was no 'discussion'. Instead:
The Mexican president made an unequivocal assertion at the start of their meeting - to which Trump, apparently, didn't reply. It's probably safe to assume it was couched amongst several points he raised straight away and (diplomatic negotiator
) Trump held his cards ("art of the deal"), likely agreeing with non-controversial boiler plate platitudes, instead.

So, apparently Latinos for Trump is a real thing and their spokesperson said that if Trump didn't win there would be taco trucks on every corner.
I don't know about you, but it seems like these Latinos aren't really for Trump.

He's already revealed his strategy...
Using a clause in The Patriot Act relating to 'remittances', if Mexico refuses to pony up - Trump will threaten to abort the flow of the billions of dollars sent on a regular basis by Mexicans living in this country - to their families back in Mexico who depend upon this money for their very subsistence.
Choking off this currency flow would be devastating not just for the hundreds of thousands of Mexican families, but for the Mexican economy overall.
The impact would be volcanic both for our Neighbor as well as for US/Mexican relations overall.
All this was gleefully detailed in a memo sent by Trump in reply to a follow-up question sent to him after an interview with Bob Woodward and Robert Costa at the Washington Post, back in April.

Does the US have a program where Mexicans can come on a seasonal basis to work in the fields legally?
During farm season, we have an influx of Mexicans who farms bring in legally seasonally, then when the season is over, they go home, then next year starts over again.

I was going to say, that doesn't really sound like a bad thing to me.
Don't know about the farms but I know we (landscaping) bring in about 100 laborers on H2b visas each year.
