BTW - does my youtube link work --- in my previous post? I can't see it.

It's not working as normal; typically, videos play 'in place', but now, all I see is an empty box and the word youtube at the top; and when I click it, it launches the video in a separate window. I've noticed this for a day or two. This is in IE (bound to stir a response from Boiler...).

Clinton isn't going to get much if anything done anyway because her last name is Clinton. But what it does is move the Overton window and start to move politics back to the left.

That's nice but it won't accomplish much. Sanders' track record as a legislator is pretty unimpressive because he can't turn his rhetoric into law. It's not enough to talk; getting things done requires support from other legislators and deal cutting, not just speeches to earnest white kids. One reason that he did not win much minority support is because those groups have come to expect tangible results, and Sanders simply does not have many bragging rights in that department.

Another canard, Sanders is pragmatic enough to know that his idea have been outside the mainstream in Congress, so most of the changes he's made have been via amendments.

Clinton is not beloved, but she can win the election.

Do you really believe that Sanders would be losing to Trump? What would have happened that would mean that Sanders' 10-15% lead in the polls would have evaporated? Why would his favourability have gone from +5 to -20? Would Trump have called him Crazy Bernie a few more times? Would he have said he was going to raise taxes? Would he have said his policies were pie in the sky? Do you really think that all of a sudden these attacks would be effective. Not to mention the demographic advantages Democrats have.

None of Trump's most effective attacks against Clinton would work against Sanders. Establishment, corrupt, emails, Benghazi etc.

So are you really saying that you think Sanders would lose to Trump? Because that does seem like that is based on reality.

That's true, but by the same token, it gets boring being told (not by you personally) that you have to vote Clinton because there is no alternative, and don't criticise Clinton because that might help Trump.

I know. You have to vote you conscience. Unless your conscience tells you to vote for Trump --- in which case you should be lobotomized.

Yeah, I'm using Edge (is that verboten?) and I've noticed that videos haven't been working just lately.

Well, it's not so much voting your conscience, more of a case of the difference between voting for a candidate and supporting a candidate.
